  2. Children can be asked to think of a character from Indian Mythology they think they are or someone they like

During reading

  1. Ask the children of the gods and goddesses they are familiar with.

  2. Let the children predict if Sage Agasthya would help the Devas or not

Post reading

  1. Ask the children to write down the characteristics of their idol character from Indian mythology and act like him/her.

Reflection

The story helps us to go back to our mythology, be a part of it and learn something from it. The story is a good way to introduce about Indian Mythology amongst young children. On the other hand the story lacks any moral or the reason behind why group of one cousin wanted to take down the other group, this can also be covered in the class in the form of predictions. Overall, the story is short and crisp and appropriate for the children.
